I would like to break down barriers to teachers introducing 3D CAD to students, using the free and online tools TinkerCad by AutoDesk and Sketchup. Both of these tools are appropriate for use at all grade levels, from elementary school through high school. Sketchup is widely used by industry as a quick mass-modeling tool. It is important in this day and age to introduce students to CAD and help students become comfortable with a wide variety of tools, so their skills can easily transfer.
